Theodore J. Daly, MD, FAAD, FSPD, FASD is the director of Garden City Dermatology in Garden City, New York and the director of pediatric dermatology at the Nassau County Medical Center in East Meadow, New York. He is an assistant clinical professor of both dermatology and pediatrics and an assistant professor of pathology at the State University of New York at Stony Brook in Stony Brook, New York.

Dr. Daly earned his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed an internship in internal medicine at Harvard Medical School Brigham and Women's Hospital, followed by a dermatology residency at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, where he served as dermatology chief resident and graduated in the top 7% of all medical residents in the country. He remained at the University of Colorado School of Medicine for a fellowship in dermatopathology. He is board certified in dermatology, dermatopathology, and pediatric dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology.

Dr. Daly’s scientific interests include pediatric dermatology, dermatopathology, and diseases of the hair. He has authored publications in a number of journals, including the New England Journal of Medicine, and a book chapter on epithelialization in wound healing. Dr. Daly is an experienced teacher and lecturer. He regularly delivered lectures to pediatric and dermatology residents at the Metropolitan Hospital in New York City and at Nassau University Medical Center. Dr. Daly was also a Grand Rounds presenter on the topics of herpes, alopecia, viral illnesses, and connective tissue disease. As a professor at Hofstra University, he taught dermatology to students in the Physician Assistant Studies Program.

Dr. Daly is a member of the National Psoriasis Foundation, the American Society of Dermatopathology, and many other professional dermatology societies. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society of Dermatopathology.
